Apalah Abah ni....
One of my biggest tendencies as an Abah is to speak and operates in generalities.For example;i tend to simply encourage my kids to be "honest" without giving them a definition of what "honesty" means,how it works out in practical ways in our lives.
Begitu juga saya suruh mereka sembahyang tapi saya tak tunggu dan bersama sembahyang dgn mereka.
Saya suruh mereka limitkan masa tengok TV tapi saya beli DVD dan Home theater utk mereka.....nasib baik parabola dah rosak.....APALAH ABAH NI......
WAKE UP ABAH......
We tell them to be honest,jujur,bersikap rendah diri,bercakap benar,to be kind and loving without talking about it and modelling it......specific ways to pull it off.
Marilah kita tanya diri kita sejujurnya...:
1.What are the most important values that we want our kids to have for life?
2.Have we ever identified them specifically?
how do you know if your are teaching them?
My friends....VALUES JUST DONT HAPPEN....THEY MUST BE LEARNED AND LIVED.
